About Me:
Born in Bantul, a small town located in the southern part of Jogjakarta, in December 1st, 1984. He graduated his elementary, junior, and senior high schools with outstanding academic records in Bengkulu. While part of his elementary school were done in Muenchfeld Grundschule and Integrierte Gesamtschule (IGS) Mainz, Germany from 1994-1997. Completed a one year international student exchange program hold by Department of Applied Biochemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, Utsunomiya University, Japan in 2007-2008.

He graduated his undergraduate program in the Department of Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). Later on in 2008, he was recruited by Surfactant and Bio-Energy Research Center (SBRC) as assistant researcher, where then he became the vice coordinator in marine microalgae bio-energy development division until
February 2009.

During his academic years in Indonesia, he is actively involved in national and regional scientific and social activities by joining university clubs and student organizations. While his professional activities are expressed when he was joining the ABCo Motivatindo, a motivation and character building training center founded by Aris Ahmad Jaya, where he works between his spare
times as youth trainer in academic achievement training for community development.

In his free time, he enjoys to travel and taking photographs, as one of his hobbies, besides
SCUBA diving, writing articles, or practicing karate in the dojo of his university. He also interested in environmental issues, humanity, history, journalistic, and religious activities. He was awarded by the Indonesian Ministry of National Education and the General Director of Higher Education as the 1st National Outstanding Best Student Nominee of the year 2007 in the Indonesian Independence Day celebration hold in the presidential palace, August 17th 2007, Jakarta.

In May 2009, he was selected as Indonesia delegation for Eco-Minds Youth Forum in Auckland, New Zealand to present his ideas of using marine potential energy for the local community. Danang Ambar Prabowo was awarded by the Rector of Bogor Agricultural University as the
outstanding student in environment activity 2009 for his dedication in environmental saving campaign during his study in his university.

He will be pursuing a master degree program through the Okinawa International Marine Science Program (OIMAP) with the Monbukagakusho (Japanese Government) Scholarship.
